Meet the team

Ron is an experienced business and specialist taxation advisor focusing on the small to medium business market and private clients. Ron has a passion for assisting his clients to grow and to maximise their business and personal wealth.

Ron has been a Certified Practising Accountant for 20+ years and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Diploma of Management. Ron enjoys working through complex taxation issues and providing his clients with commercial and practical financial management and taxation solutions. Ron takes a holistic approach to his clients’ affairs, assisting with business growth, succession planning, superannuation as well as retirement and estate planning.

Ron has wide range of experience, with a particular interest in global trade, training organisations,
management rights, building and construction and the health industries. Ron also has a passion for assisting young people start their own businesses by helping to develop and implement sound business plans to achieve their business and financial goals.

Ron also enjoys football, running, surfing swimming, basketball, boxing, fishing and camping.

Susie is our most senior accountant and is available to help you with your taxation queries and advice as needed.

Susie graduated from Griffith with a Bachelor in Arts (Japanese) and a Bachelor of International Finance. She began her career in Business Banking at the National Australia Bank and for over ten years gave her experience and professional analytical skills to efficiently assess credit and provide professional business advice across retail, private and business banking. She then moved into a part-time finance role as she became the mother of three boys, which keeps her very busy. During this transition, an opportunity arose to work in accounting.

Passionate for numbers and enjoying working with clients to assist in achieving their goals, the public practice has become her new passion, where she has developed exceptional skills over the last ten years.

Susie can also speak Japanese. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking them to different social activities around the Gold Coast. Weekends are filled with football, cricket, and nippers.

Susie is dedicated to keeping up to date with the latest tax laws which ensures her she is an expert in all things tax and GST.

Elda joined Gibson & Associates late 2024 when she moved to Gold Coast. Previous to this, Elda spent a year of travelling within Australia as a tourist. Elda was born in Albania and raised in the capital city, Tirana.

Elda has completed a Master of Business & Administration and found great interest in Accounting & Auditing during the program.

Elda was identified during her studies as being an exceptional accounting student and was referred by her professor to a US-based accounting firm in 2019 where worked and was subsequently elevated to a senior accountant role. Passionate about numbers, staying organised and up to date, Elda is ideal person to assist clients with financial management, accounting and tax compliance. Elda is also eager to specialise in new areas and add more strings to her bow.

Elda fell in love with the Australian lifestyle, nature, and people that she decided to permanently move to Australia. Elda feels lucky to have found a great work environment at Gibson & Associates.

Elda is also passionate about cooking, crafts, watching a good series and travelling in her free time. She enjoys gathering with her family and organising events and surprise parties for friends and family.

After two children, a decade as an Export Manager in the surfing industry and a move to the Gold Coast, Kirsty decided it was time for a career change. This change allowed her to spend more time with her children and pursue a career that involved some of the things she loves, organising, people and numbers.

Kirsty began working at Gibson and Associates in 2014 as a bookkeeper. With a great deal of encouragement and hard work, Kirsty went on to complete a Master of Professional Accounting. Kirsty is an integral part of the Gibson and Associates team, and her smile is often the first thing you see when you walk into our office. Kirsty is a perfectionist, has an eye for details and excels at helping our clients get themselves organised.

Kirsty’s role also encompasses office manager responsibilities along with assisting clients with all aspects of their accounting needs.

Kirsty is also our resident Xero software expert and gets much enjoyment from delivering our initial set up, training and support package. Kirsty is also a qualified Justice of the Peace.
